Cold Break

Spent Wednesday night doing P90x, great workout for any of you that have never tried it.  It was Shoulders & Arms night, with Ab’s at the end.  I really need to start focusing on the P90x core workouts and Yoga.  Yes, I said Yoga.  It takes discipline to stay the course with the yoga workout.  The first 45 minutes will kick anyone’s ass, the second half of the workout is a little easier… focusing mainly on balance postures and core.  Its a good 1.5 hours, but worth it.  Save this workout for the weekend when you have time to devote to an uninterrupted, silent and focused workout.

Did not swim yesterday or today, mainly due to the onset of a cold or sinus infection.  I plan on getting in the pool tomorrow afternoon for my 1600 meter swim (1 mile).  It will be a nice break from the demands of the 6 year old birthday party.  After the workout I’ll roll over to Peachtree Trek and take a gander at the Trek Equinox 7 time trial bike.  Maybe I’ll come home with something new?  I’m seriously considering signing up for the ING Half Marathon on March 21st.  This will be a good short term goal and will help prepare me for the International Triathlon in May, although April is rather sparse in terms of events.  I’ve signed up for the Cheerio’s 10k, but I need something else.  The weather should be awesome.  I’m up for just about anything if anyone has any suggestions.
